Three fire and emergency services levies were the only measures on Tuesday’s mail-only ballot in Pierce County.
• In DuPont, the city asked voters to raise taxes by $1 per $1,000 assessed value for four years. The city had asked for a lower levy lid lift of $1.80 in November, but voters said no. A simple majority is required.
• In Steilacoom, the town asked voters to renew its maximum levy amount of 50 cents per $1,000 assessed value for six years. Officials say the amount is precautionary, and the tax likely would remain at 32 cents per $1,000. A 60 percent yes vote is required.
• In Fife and nearby areas, residents served by Pierce County Fire Protection District 10 were asked to approve a six-year levy of 50 cents per $1,000 assessed value. The same measure was defeated in November. A 60 percent yes vote is required.
