Suburban commuters, rejoice!
The Washington state Department of Transportation has opened the ramp from northbound Interstate 5 to state Route 167 on Sunday about a half day early, spokeswoman Claudia Bingham Baker wrote in an email.
The ramp, closed since late Friday to install drainage underneath, was not scheduled to reopen until 5 a.m. Monday.
The ramp from Interstate 705 to northbound Interstate 5 is still on track to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. When that ramp is reopened, WSDOT will reopen the northbound ramp from state Route 7 to northbound I-5.
