Two people were seriously injured Saturday morning after a T-bone collision on state Route 302 in Purdy, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened about 10 a.m. at the intersection of SR 302 and Purdy Drive Northwest, State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova said.
According to Bova:
A woman in a passenger car was trying to cross SR 302 from a gas station there and pulled out without seeing a truck towing a trailer.
The truck was unable to stop and T-boned her car, pushing it 30 feet off the roadway and 10 feet down toward the water.
The woman and her passenger both suffered serious injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. Firefighters had to extricate the pair from the car.
Troopers do not believe reckless driving or intoxication played a factor in the crash.
