The bright lights of Christmas brought more than 24,000 vehicles to 2014’s Fantasy Lights display at Spanaway Park.
For the holiday season, 24,139 vehicles came through the gates from Nov. 27 to Jan. 1 for the two-mile drive among nearly 300 lighted displays, said Scott Hall, recreation superintendent of Pierce County Parks and Recreation.
That was 755 more vehicles than in 2013, Hall said.
As for attendance, 157,307 people visited Fantasy Lights in 2014, up from 152,601 in 2013.
The busiest day was Dec. 20, the Saturday before Christmas, when 1,334 vehicles came through. On average, 671 vehicles visited the displays each night.
