One of the founders of the Tacoma Actors Guild will be honored Monday in the theater space where it all started.
Bill Becvar died Sept. 4 at the age of 76.
A celebration of his life will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 1323 S. Yakima Ave., where the group used to perform.
He started TAG in 1978, and it was the city’s only professional theater company at the time. It closed in 2007.
Becvar directed many performances for the guild, and at Pacific Lutheran University, where he was the former director of theater.
