Yelm Mayor Ron Harding said Wednesday he’s been hired to become city administrator of Aumsville, Oregon.
Harding announced his resignation, which is effective Aug. 9, in an email to city staff last week. He waited until this week to identify his new employer.
“I am excited for the opportunity and appreciate all the support I have received from friends and family, elected officials and constituents,” Harding said in an email to The Olympian on Wednesday morning.
Harding served on the Yelm City Council from 2001 to 2005. He was elected mayor in 2005 and re-elected to the post in 2009 and 2013.
