The Gig Harbor Garden Tour Association will offer a special additional tour this year, separate from the main tour in June.
Patty and Leonhardt Pecchenino have graciously offered to open their garden on Kopachuck Drive in Gig Harbor overlooking Carr Passage and Cutt’s Island during the peak of the rhododendron season.
“I really want to share my garden with everyone who wants to see how beautiful it is when all the May trees and shrubs are in their glory,” Patty Pecchenino said. “This is the best season in our garden and, in my opinion, what is a garden for if not to share with others?”
The garden is located at 10310 Kopachuck Dr. NW. It will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday the final two weeks of May (23-24 and 30-31). Visitors are asked to park on Kopachuck Drive and walk down the driveway to the garden.
There is a $5 minimum donation at the gate. Donations go to the Garden Tour Association to help fund the literacy awards for 2015.
