Cheers to those who cleaned up all the beds and flower boxes in downtown Gig Harbor. Thank you so much for doing it. I wish we would of known, as we would of helped. Next year put the word out and we will be with you.
Cheers to the Goodman Middle School Leadership & Community Service Committee! The students organized a pet food drive. In one week, students and teachers collected more than 1,500 pounds of animal food. The food will be donated to a local pet food bank that assists homeless and low income pet owners who need help taking care of their animal friend. Cheers to our future leaders!
Jeers to those who make a point of not to allow merging vehicles from the new two lanes to one lane on 40th St. near Artondale. Can we not be kind to our neighbors who share the road?
Cheers to Devri Langhelm for building the McCormick Creek Bridge for his Eagle Scout Project. You did a great job. Thank you and Troop 212.
Never miss a local story.
Cheers to to whoever stole (again) our dog water bowl that was out in front of our office downtown. It has been a favorite of many dogs and will be a disappointment with summer coming as I can not keep replacing it only to get stolen again.
Jeers to the Peninsula Education Association and its decision to have a half-day strike. You are impacting families by forcing parents to find child care for their children who should be at school.
