Cheers to Gig Harbor Audio for their free information on technology classes on Saturday mornings. Great way to get some answers to questions about your computer, smart phone and more.
Cheers to The Joyful Noise choir and director Jean Kopta for a wonderful concert Saturday afternoon. We really enjoyed the results of all your time and effort putting it on. The bagpipe and organ songs were awesome. Look forward to hearing the group again!
Jeers to those dog owners who don’t pick up after their dogs. And jeers to those who do get it into a bag — but leave the bag — or put it into a flower bed. Biggest jeers to those who sneak out at night — and leave the mess as though no one will notice or leaving it on the sidewalks downtown. Really?
Cheers to Peninsula Light Co. for their extremely fast turnaround by the repair crew after a car accident Wednesday night took down a power pole. Great work.
Never miss a local story.
Cheers to Windermere Real Estate in Gig Harbor for holding a free shred day. Thank you for providing an opportunity for citizens in our community to protect their personal identity by providing a safe way to get rid of personal documents.
Cheers to this great community for their outstanding support of the Letter Carriers food drive. Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH food bank received more than 14,000 pounds of much needed food and sends thank you’s to all who participated: those who shopped and donated and to the letter carriers for participating in this annual event. You are all what makes Gig Harbor special.
Jeers to the individuals who keep knocking over the Honey Bucket at the Kopachuck Baseball Field (and other public places). Each time that happens the leasing entity (PenMet, GHLL, PSD, Gig Harbor, etc) has to pay for its recovery, costing time and money when both are in short supply. That expense is passed on to us all, plus it’s just mean — people use a port-a-potty when they absolutely have to, not by choice. Grow up!
Cheers to Local Boys for stressing local in their offerings and employment. So refreshing and sets Gig Harbor apart from surrounding areas.
