One man was killed and another severely injured early Sunday in a single-car crash near Graham, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The state patrol identified the man who died as Christopher Grice, 36, of Eatonville.
Troopers gave this account of the wreck:
A 25-year-old Port Orchard man was driving a 2002 Jeep Cherokee southbound about 1:35 a.m. on state Route 7 near 304th Street East.
The vehicle left the roadway and then re-entered traffic, crossing all lanes and coming to a rest on the right shoulder.
Grice, a passenger in the vehicle, was thrown from the Jeep and died at the scene, Trooper Todd Bartolac said.
The driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, Bartolac said. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seat belts, according to the state patrol.
Police said drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The driver is expected to be charged with vehicular homicide, Bartolac said.
