Puyallup police were searching Thursday for the “matter-of-fact” robber who held up a Columbia Bank branch.
The man walked into the branch at 4220 S. Meridian about 2:30 p.m., sat down, demanded money and left when he got it, police spokesman Scott Engle said.
“He was very matter-of-fact about the whole thing,” Engle said.
The man ran west toward the nearby Best Buy store, where a police K-9 unit lost his trail, Engle said. The man likely fled in a vehicle or on a bicycle, he added.
The robber was described as in his 30s with a medium build and brown hair in a bun, Engle said. He was wearing a brown coat and brown pants.
