A man is dead and a Tacoma driver has been arrested for DUI following a crash near Poulsbo, the Washington State Patrol said Saturday.
The wreck occurred about 2 a.m. Friday morning on state Route 305 just north of Baywatch Court NE.
Rodrigo Rivera, 30, of Bremerton, died at the scene of the accident, the State Patrol said. He was not wearing his seat belt, troopers said.
The State Patrol said Rivera’s 1990 Toyota 4Runner was traveling northbound on 305 when it crossed the center line.
The 4Runner struck a southbound 2013 Ford F250 pickup driven by a 59-year-old Tacoma man.
The man was arrested for DUI and taken to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton for treatment.
The road was blocked for nearly six hours while troopers investigated.
