Crews rescued someone Thursday who fell while playing on a hillside along Marine View Drive, according to Tacoma Fire.
Firefighters arrived at Marine View Drive and Heron Ridge Drive Northeast shortly after 7 p.m., and had finished the rescue about an hour later.
The patient appeared to be a minor, but the agency couldn’t immediately confirm an age or gender.
Firefighters did a low angle rescue, which involves ropes but not a pulley system, to get the person back up the hill.

The patient had injuries that were not life-threatening, but prevented the person from getting back up the steep bank without help, Tacoma Fire said.
