Firefighters rescued a man who was reported to be drowning Tuesday afternoon in the Green River in Kent.
Crews responded to the 22000 block of Frager Road about 4 p.m. after a passer-by called 911.
The man was on the edge of the river, conscious, and apparently suffering from exposure to the cold water and an unknown medical issue, the Kent Fire Department said.
Firefighters used equipment to get the man up the river bank, and took him to a hospital.
Never miss a local story.
It wasn’t clear why the man had been in the river, the department said.
