A sheriff’s deputy found two bodies in a Frederickson home Sunday when he was out doing sex offender address verification, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Jerry Bates said.
The deputy also noticed “some kind of booby trap or hazardous device,” and experts from the agency were en route to examine it shortly before 10 a.m., Bates said.
The deputy found the bodies sometime around 8:30 a.m. at the home in the 7700 block of 200th Street East.
It was not clear how they died, or who they were, Bates said. Detectives had not yet been able to process the scene.
Sex offenders are required to register their address with the county, and law enforcement is tasked with periodically verifying an offender still lives at the address registered.
