Pierce County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect early Sunday in connection to a shooting the night before at a Spanaway McDonald’s restaurant, agency spokesman Jerry Bates said.
Further information about the person, arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, was not immediately available.
The shooting happened about 5 p.m. at the restaurant at Pacific Avenue South and 149th Street South. A teenager hit in both arms was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, KIRO-TV reported.
Several people involved returned to the McDonald’s and were detained for questioning Saturday.
