Seventy bottles of liquor could get anyone in trouble.
For Darnell Parks III, it led to being charged with second-degree organized retail theft. The 21-year-old Spanaway man pleaded not guilty Tuesday and was ordered jailed in lieu of $60,000 bail.
Police said Parks stole 70 bottles of alcohol from nine stores in Tacoma, Puyallup and Spanaway between May and August. It was unclear whether Parks was hoarding, selling or sharing the liquor.
Surveillance footage from several of the thefts helped detectives identify Parks, authorities said. Prosecutors said they might file additional charges after reviewing footage from other stores in Pierce County.
