Police arrested a man Wednesday night in connection to a fatal stabbing in Tacoma.
The 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of John Scott Ware Jr., police spokesman Loretta Cool said.
The News Tribune does not generally name suspects before they have been charged with a crime.
Cool didn’t immediately know how investigators identified the man arrested as a suspect.
Ware, 35, died about 4 p.m. Monday near South 12th and South State streets.
Neighbors told investigators they saw him fighting with someone. Then he knocked on a door nearby to ask for help with stab wounds he had suffered, and collapsed on the porch, police said.
