UPDATE 7 p.m.: Tacoma police say they have found the missing child.
The boy and his mother were spotted at a Tacoma McDonald’s restaurant and police picked them up. The child was to be turned over to his father, police said.
ORIGINAL POST: Authorities are looking for a missing 18-month-old Tacoma child, Devin Baker Hamilton.
Police issued an endangered missing person alert — a step below an Amber Alert, which would have triggered more notifications.
The alert says the boy is 3 feet 10 inches tall and 28 pounds, white with blond hair and brown eyes, and was last seen in light green pajamas with a dark green pattern.
He was last seen with his mother, Amanda Baker, who may be headed for the Ashland, Oregon, area or California, according to the alert.
Baker was last heard from Saturday morning when she made a phone call from the Safeway on North Pearl Street, according to the alert. A day earlier, the alert alleges that Baker fled before Devin’s father could take custody of the boy as ordered by a court.
Baker is 28 and white, with brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 2 inches and 125 pounds. She wore her hair in a ponytail, according to the alert. She was last seen in a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
