A man accused of a repeatedly threatening to “fight to the death” with a Tacoma Municipal Court judge during a hearing was in jail Sunday, according to court records.
Peter Marcus Weller, 33, pleaded not guilty to intimidating a judge and felony harassment Friday in Pierce County Superior Court.
Charging papers give this account:
Weller had a hearing in front of Judge Elizabeth Verhey on Sept. 30, during which he was in custody. Details about Weller’s Tacoma Municipal Court case were not immediately available.
During the proceedings Weller repeatedly said he would go to war if the judge didn’t let him go. He told her to be careful, and that she would get shot in the head if she didn’t release him.
“I’m out for your life,” he said at one point.
Court Commissioner Meagan Foley set his bail for the new charges at $200,000.
