A 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Wednesday after he was hit by a car in the Proctor area of Tacoma, police said.
The boy was taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
He was hit shortly before 2:30 p.m. near North 26th Street and North Proctor Avenue while in a crosswalk with his father, Cool said. The dad was not hurt.
Investigators said it appears a 88-year-old man driving through the intersection did not see the people in the crossing. Police don’t believe age, speed, drugs or alcohol were factors, Cool said.
