Pierce County sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed a South Hill pharmacy for prescription painkillers.
The robbery took place about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at a Rite Aid pharmacy in the 12800 block of Meridian Avenue. East.
The man walked up to the clerk and handed him a note on a cell phone demanding pills. He then lifted his shirt to show a handgun tucked into his waistband. The robber fled after getting an undisclosed amount of pills.
He was white, in his 20s, 5 feet 10 and 170 pounds with dark hair. He was wearing sunglasses, blue jeans, a black hoodie and a black-and-white-striped fisherman-style hat.
Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the man’s arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
