The woman used a stolen identity and fake checks to steal $10,000 worth of lumber from stores in Spanaway and Graham, officials said.
Police are still trying to figure out the name of the woman, who made the purchases in late October from two ProBuild stores. Police hope someone will recognize the woman from surveillance footage and provide a name.
The woman is in her 30s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 with brown hair and eyeglasses. She had several tattoos on her arms and was driving a white truck, possibly a late 1990s GMC.
Anyone with information on the woman’s identity is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959. Callers may remain anonymous.
