A burn ban in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties was lifted Tuesday.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency put the ban in place Sunday because stagnant weather was creating too much pollution in the air.
The stage 1 burn ban meant no burning was allowed in wood burning fireplaces, uncertified wood stoves or fireplace inserts. Outdoor burning also were off-limits during the ban.
Violators could have been fined $1,000.
