Most of the instruments stolen from a Puyallup school in October were returned to the school Wednesday, police said.
A citizen brought more than 30 of the 42 instruments to police Tuesday night. They were taken Oct. 27 from Northwest Christian School, 904 Shaw Road.
Police gave the instruments to the school Wednesday.
The equipment accounts for $18,000 of the $31,000 stolen, police said.
The citizen who returned them is not a suspect, police spokesman Scott Engle said. Investigators know how the person acquired the instruments, but have not released that information.
Investigators have identified three suspects in the burglary. One is in jail on unrelated charges and two have yet to be arrested, Engle said. Three others have yet to be identified.
