A transient woman assaulted a librarian Saturday at the Puyallup Library, police said Thursday.
The 63-year-old librarian was escorting the 39-year-old patron out of the library at 324 S. Meridian for disorderly conduct about 1 p.m., when the patron punched her in the face, police spokesman Scott Engle said.
The woman then pulled the librarian to the ground by the hair, yanking out some follicles, Engle said. The lost hair appeared to be the extent of the librarian’s injuries, according to police.
Officers arrested the woman in a nearby park, and she was booked into jail, Engle said.
