A knife attack Tuesday outside an Orting restaurant sent two men to the hospital, police chief Bill Drake said, and two others were being investigated by police.
Drake said there was an altercation between four men outside the Los Pinos restaurant about 7:45 p.m. at 228 Washington Avenue Southeast, where he believed the men had been inside before the attack.
Drake did not know the condition of the two taken to the hospital. The other two may have suffered minor injuries, he said, but he hadn’t confirmed that.
Orting Valley Fire and Rescue said via Facebook that one of the four injured was in critical condition.

Drake said police arrested one of the two men who wasn’t taken to the hospital, and detained the other for questioning.
Officers closed Bridge Street to traffic as they investigated.
Further details were not immediately available.
