A teen boy was shot Monday outside a grocery store in Tacoma, police said.
The shooting happened when a group of teenagers started fighting shortly after 8 p.m. outside the store near Pacific Avenue and South 72nd Street, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The boy, whose age was not immediately available, was part of the fight, and suffered a gunshot to the leg that did not appear to be life-threatening, Cool said.
Several teenagers fled, and police were talking to witnesses, she said.
Investigators believed only one person fired a shot.
No arrests had been made.
