A Special Weapons and Tactics team responded to a South Tacoma home Thursday.
Police suspected about 3 p.m. that a man wanted for investigation of a felony assault and on a Department of Corrections warrant was at a home near South 45th and South Warner street, Lakewood police spokesman Chris Lawler said. Officers got a search warrant, prepared the SWAT response, and entered the home about 8:30 p.m. when the man refused to come out, he said.
No one was hurt, Lawler said.
At least one person in the area reported that people were told to stay inside.

Lawler said about 10 p.m. that everything had been cleared, and people were safe to go about their business.
Further information was not immediately available.
