Pierce County prosecutors have charged a University Place man with 10 counts of possessing and dealing child pornography images.
Justin Ericson, 29, is to be arraigned Feb. 24 on nine counts of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and one count of dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
A federal Department of Homeland Security investigation found Ericson sent an undercover agent child porn, according to charging papers.
A search warrant was served at his home in January 2013 and detectives found several sexually explicit pictures of children, the court papers state.
“The defendant told investigators he believed he had a mental illness because he is attracted to boys aged 9 to 16-years old,” the documents state.
