No one suffered life-threatening injuries when a pickup crashed into a retaining wall Sunday in Puyallup, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The truck left eastbound state Route 512 at South Meridian shortly after 5 p.m., went through the intersection, hit a car stopped at a traffic light, and crashed into the retaining wall in the 1400 block of South Meridian, State Patrol Sgt. Erick Thomas and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue spokesman Guy Overby said.
The cause of the wreck was being investigated. Thomas said brake failure or a stuck accelerator is mostly likely responsible.
