Bethel School District officials sent a message to area families Friday, warning them of a luring incident near Thompson Elementary School.
The message states that a motorist approached a Thompson student near the intersection of B and 166th streets East and offered her a ride. The girl refused and ran away. The incident was reported to Pierce County sheriff’s deputies.
The driver was described as a white man in his 40s or 50s, with light brown hair and a beard. He was last seen driving south on B Street. The vehicle was described as a white four-door car with dark tinted windows, similar to a mid-1990s Honda Civic.
