Tacoma police on Tuesday found an endangered 51-year-old man who went missing Monday night.
A Pierce Transit employee spotted James Boyer shortly before 10 a.m. and called 911. He was safe and was brought back to his caretaker.
Boyer has the mental capacity of a 6-year-old and has not been seen since 9 p.m. near his home in the 1300 block of South Cushman Avenue.
Police said he was angry when he walked away after a dispute with his caretaker over making lunch for Tuesday. The caretaker followed Boyer for a bit but eventually lost sight of Boyer.
Never miss a local story.
This is not the first time Boyer has walked away from home. Last time, officers quickly found him within two miles of his home.
He was last seen wearing a green and gray striped shirt, blue jeans and tan boots.
Boyer is 5-feet-2 and 130 pounds, with blue eyes.
Anyone who sees Boyer or knows where he might be is asked to call 911.
