Investigators are trying to identify a man who they say robbed at least four Pierce County convenience stores earlier this month.
He asked the clerks for Marlboro Red 100s cigarettes, then showed a silver handgun in his waistband and demanded cash, according to Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.
Investigators say he’s responsible for robberies:
• 10:40 p.m. May 11 at the Shell gas station at 13221 Pacific Ave. S. in Parkland.
• 9:50 p.m. May 14 at Handy Corner Grocery at 1118 112th St. S. in Parkland.
• 11:50 p.m. May 14 at Jackpot Grocery & Deli at 12714 122nd St. E. in South Hill.
• 12:15 a.m. May 19 at a 7-Eleven on Meridian Ave. E. in South Hill.
The robber is described as in his late 20s, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10, slender, with a brown beard and mustache. He was seen in a gray striped hooded sweatshirt, gray and black gloves, a black baseball hat and blue jeans.
