Police say an officer in Buckley suffered a broken leg in a struggle with a sex offender.
Two Buckley police officers went to arrest a man early Friday at a senior housing complex, where he was staying with a family member.
The man was hiding in a closet when the officers found him and a struggle ensued.
One officer’s leg was injured during the incident and the suspect was able to flee the scene.

Police brought in a K-9 to track the man, but he was not found.
The man, identified as Derrick Ferguson, is wanted on a warrant in King County for failing to register as a sex offender and also on a Department of Corrections escape warrant.
