Pierce County prosecutors have charged a man suspected of causing a three-car crash in Bonney Lake that killed one man and seriously injured two others.
Kamryn Fisher, 20, will be arraigned Aug. 12 on charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and reckless endangerment.
The collision happened Jan. 26 near 64th Street East and 218th Avenue East.
The posted speed limit in that area is 40 miles per hour but investigators said Fisher was going at least 65 mph when he tried to pass a car, lost control, overcorrected and slid into oncoming traffic.
His car sideswiped another car, ripped off a rear wheel and continued sliding into the intersection. A third car then T-boned Fisher’s car, according to charging documents.
One of Fisher’s passengers, 19-year-old Thomas Randall Jr., died at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.
The other passenger suffered a broken leg and head laceration. Fisher suffered a broken pelvis, collarbone and a serious head injury.
