A Thurston County man accused of torturing and slaughtering pets he bought online faces additional charges that he sexually assaulted minors in Pierce County.
David C. Williford, 27, was charged Tuesday with second-degree rape of a child, two counts of second-degree rape and six counts of first-degree child molestation.
He is free on $50,000 bail as he awaits trial for the Thurston County charges. There is a bench warrant for his arrest in connection with the counts in Pierce County.
Williford was arrested in February after animal control officers allegedly found animal carcasses, starving dogs, rats and rabbits, and blood smeared on the walls and floors of his Olympia-area property.

He pleaded not guilty to six counts of first-degree animal cruelty and six counts of second-degree animal cruelty.
While Williford was in custody for the alleged animal abuse, an acquaintance called Thurston County prosecutors to report that Williford had raped two minor girls, Pierce County charging papers say.
Police interviewed the girls, now adults, who told investigators that Williford sexually assaulted them for years, starting when they were about 5 and 8 years old, according to the papers.
