Tacoma police were searching for a suspect Wednesday night after a hit-and-run left a motorcyclist dead, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
Cool gave this account of the incident:
About 8:20 p.m. at the corner of South 38th Street and South M Street an SUV collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Never miss a local story.
The driver of the SUV fled on foot northbound. He was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, about 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Police blocked off the intersection and were investigating.
