Tacoma police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint Monday.
The suspect walked into a Heritage Bank branch in the 1700 block of South Union Avenue about 9:15 a.m. and pulled out a handgun. He then demanded cash and threatened to start shooting people.
After a clerk handed him money, the robber fled and headed west on South 17th Street.
No one was injured during the holdup.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet and 180 pounds. He wore a fake dark brown beard and mustache, green hooded jacket, black cap and wrap-around sunglasses.
