Pierce County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 32-year-old Renton man in connection with the theft of Miss Washington’s credit cards but they have not yet located her missing crown, dresses or special sashes.
Pierce County sheriff’s deputies released surveillance footage today of two men believed to have stolen an SUV belonging to Miss Washington and of breaking into a Tacoma firefighter’s car and stealing his department coat.
Miss Washington walked out to her driveway in East Pierce County Tuesday and discovered her car wasn’t there. Henry soon realized the 2011 GMC Terrain she’s using during her reign had been stolen.
Brittney Henry, who was crowned Miss Washington in July, is asking the public to keep their eyes out for her sash, crown and gowns that were stolen along with her car from outside her Edgewood home early this morning.
Forty Pierce County vehicles are clearing primary arterial routes today and hope to shift over to secondary arterials and residential roads tonight, said Bruce Wagner, of Pierce County Public Works and Utilities.
Roundabouts – those large, busy, circular intersections without traffic lights or stop signs – are starting to catch on in East Pierce County.
