The Clover Park School District in Lakewood has announced several new principals who will take the helm at schools in September.
Tim Stults will be the new principal at Clover Park High School. He previously worked as assistant principal at Lakes High School and as principal at two urban high schools in Philadelphia -- School of the Future and University City High School. He replaces current principal John Seaton, who has accepted a position as the superintendent/principal of the Paterson School District in Benton County.
Jane Al-Tamimi will be the new principal at Custer Elementary. Al-Tamimi is currently on special assignment as an assistant to the Garfield Elementary principal in Olympia. She replaces Lisa Stevens, who has been Custer’s principal since 2011. Stevens is pursuing a different position with the Clover Park School District.
Jennifer Moore will be the next principal at Dower Elementary. Moore has been principal at Napavine Elementary the last two years. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal in Tumwater. Moore replaces Paula Dawson who is leaving for a principal position in Franklin Pierce School District.
Josh Zarling has been selected as the new principal at Lochburn Middle School. Zarling has worked in two Clover Park schools, Hudtloff Middle School as assistant principal and as principal at Beachwood Elementary. For the last two years, he has been the middle school principal at the International School, Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago. Zarling replaces Helen Wilson, who is resigning to pursue a doctorate degree.
Jeff Miller will be the new principal at Tillicum Elementary. Miller has spent most of his educational career in the state of California, including six years as an elementary teacher and 11 years as an administrator. Miller replaces Taj Jensen who will be the new principal at Tyee Park Elementary.
