A Lakewood man was shot in the neck Wednesday night during a dispute outside an apartment complex, police said Thursday.
The man, 26, was taken to a local hospital and was expected to recover, said police Lt. Dave Guttu. Officers identified another Lakewood man, 36, as a person of interest in the shooting and were searching for him.
Police said the older man had dropped off a woman at an apartment in the 7300 block of 146th Street Southwest about 11 p.m. when he became involved in an argument with a group of people in the parking lot.
At some point, the 26-year-old ran up to the older man’s car and assaulted him, police said. The older man fired one shot, striking the victim in the neck, then drove off, police said.
