Former military service members who missed two recent town halls about the state of the Department of Veterans Affairs will get another chance to speak up next week in Kitsap County.
The VA Puget Sound, which cares for nearly 100,000 patients, is opening up to hear feedback from veterans.
The agency has been under scrutiny this year amid reports that officials at hospitals in Phoenix misrepresented data about patient wait times to hide systemic delays in care. The scandal led VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign in May and Congress to pass a VA reform bill.
The next forum is scheudled to take place at Jackson Park Community Chapel, 90 Olding Road in Bremerton on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.

In September, VA Puget Sound held similar events in Tukwila and its American Lake campus in Lakewood. The town halls drew about 200 people who told top VA administrators about their experiences receiving care at local facilities.
