A year ago, did a column on a group of Northwest college students who’d founded a nonprofit organization to increase awareness of testicular cancer - calling it “Sacks of Love.”
They were dedicated youngsters with a sense of humor and catchy slogans they sold on T-shirts – like “Saving one nut at a time” – and they were determined to raise money along with consciousness.
They did so through a 5K run in Puyallup and a golf tournament. On Oct. 25 at Heritage Park in Puyallup, Sacks of Love will hold its second annual 5K race starting at 10 a.m.
You can register here or at the race for $40, which includes a T-shirt and the knowledge you’ll be in the snappily-named “Run for the Boys.”
