PUGET SOUND: Point Defiance-Talequah ferry back in service starting today
THE NEWS TRIBUNE
Published: March 6th, 2008 01:00 AM
Ferry service will resume today on the Point Defiance-Talequah route.

Starting with the first normally scheduled sailing, the 34-car Hiyu will fill in for the larger Rhododendron until that boat is fixed, state officials said Wednesday in a news release.

The Rhododendron developed a mechanical problem Saturday. Service from Tacoma to Vashon Island was canceled from Monday through Wednesday.

Customers were advised to check the Washington State Ferries Web site, wsdot.wa.gov/ferries, or call 1-888-808-7977 for the latest schedule information.
