SOUTH HILL: Mobile home park floods after contractor breaks water main

Water inundated part of the Country Aire Manor mobile home park in South Hill on Friday afternoon after a contractor breached a main while trying to obtain a soil sample, according to the park’s homeowners association.
The water began rising about 4:30 p.m. and flooded the driveways and sheds of about five homes, said Dean Webber, the association’s president.
No one was forced to leave, and the water flow was cut off about 20 minutes later.
