Kent police have arrested a Des Moines man suspected of stabbing a motel clerk April 8, police said in a news release Wednesday.

Charges have been filed in King County Superior Court against Shannon Hill. He is accused of vaulting the counter and slicing a Days Inn clerk’s leg with a kitchen knife during an attempted robbery of the West Meeker Street motel.

Several tips in response to media coverage led to the Tuesday arrest, police said.
