A 17-year-old male was shot and killed Saturday evening at a fast food restaurant in Kent, police said in news release.

According to the release, about 20 young men were arguing just after 7 p.m. in the entry to the Arby’s restaurant at 317 E. Smith St. when one pulled out a gun and fired.

The 17-year-old, who was not identified, was struck in the head and died at the scene, the release said. Police and fire personnel weren’t able to revive him.

The suspect, who is believed to be between 17 and 24, ran from the scene.

Kent Police asked anyone with information to call them at 253-856-5800 or call Puget Sound Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CRIME-13.
