ORTING: Body of driver found inside overturned car

A passer-by came upon an overturned car early Sunday in the 24600 block of Orville Road East near Orting. The man inside was dead, apparently killed in the crash.
The car had rolled and then slid into some mailboxes, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said. The car was found about 2:40 a.m.
The driver’s identity was not released. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
