TACOMA: Christian women’s group plans food drive Saturday at Safeway

Mothers of Zion, a Tacoma Christian women’s group, will hold a food drive Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Safeway, 1112 S. M St., in Tacoma.
Perishable and nonperishable food items will be accepted and donated to families in need for the holidays. The group is especially looking for Thanksgiving holiday meal items like turkeys, hams and canned goods, said President Marie McClean.
